Landscape

Westmount Park- Montreal
This was my firs assignment and I loved doing it!
The colors and falling leafs make me think of autumn!

Update

Hello people, I haven't posted in forever because I was so busy relaxing after my intensive summer program at Parsons The New School for Design. Since I'm now back in school, I don't have any excuses for not blogging! I now go to Dawson College in Montreal and I'm studying photography, obviously...

So this is about it! I forgot to post the video I created at Parsons with the fantastic help of my classmate/model: Marie Hinderer! This is her blog: http://throughthelensofmarie.blogspot.com/

Art is . . .

In class, we had to do a 3D project. I thought of the Wish Tree, and made one of my own. I wrote a brief description for people to understand the meaning of it. I wrote: Write a short sentence about what art means to you on a leaf.
Then, they figured it out for theirselfs.

Coney Island

Yesterday, I went to Coney Island with my class. In my pictures, I tried to portray the oldness and "loneliness", even though Coney Island is an old town it is far from being lonely. So many tourists go there everyday, so in a way my pictures are ironic.

The Rhythm of Music

Sunday, I was at Washington Square Park and so many street performers were playing. I had this "musicians" theme in mind and took snapshots of them.

Ouh la la! Terry Richardson Inspiration

Last weekend, I had a self-portrait assignment. I had to choose the technique of a photographer and I decided to take Terry Richardson, because I don't usually create pictures like these ones. So this is a totally new technique and way of capturing for me. His crazy pictures inspired me a lot! Richardson's photographs are noted for their controversial, graphic matter. They often express real moments and "emotions". So basically, here's the result.

Say "Cheese" to Daddy

I was walking towards my residence in Greenwich Village and saw these little kids posing for their Dad. They were so cute and weren't shy at all. What I love about this picture is that we see their Dad and the way he takes the picture is very interesting. It's as if I told them to create this scene in front of me.

Divine Dancers

Beautiful dancers were posing for their photographer friend in a parking lot in Chelsea. Thought I would take his idea and make it mine. The way they express themselfs in their dancing is a strong form of independence, which I love about this picture.

Acting like a "Kido"

Last night, my mom and I went for drinks before supper(sprite for me!)at this cute restaurant called Kido in Greenwich Village,(10th street between 6th and 7th). I loved the vibe over there and started to take snapshots of the place and the very relaxed allure of the waiters. You MUST go, it's wonderful, very chic and well decorated. Not expensive, the music makes you feel good, the waiters are polite and you must order the french fries with mayo. It's the best mayo I ever had in my whole entire life! Enjoy your next meal!

Garry Winogrand Inspiration

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this young man. This was probably his graduation day.(Washington Square Park)
This group was filming a short movie and they were looking at the result.(Washington Square Park)
I don't actually know if they were sleeping, but I couldn't stop staring at them.(Washington Square Park)
This is a picture I took in New York City at Washington Square Park. I saw these kids going into the foutain, so I followed them and my attention was directly drawned to this little girl. She was  constantly screaming as if she was having so much fun that she couldnt contain herself.
